This tour is for those who love the bestselling Anne of Green Gables books, television programs and stage musicals. It focuses on the home which inspired the book “Anne of Green Gables” by Lucy Maud Montgomery so beloved around the world.
On our way to Green Gables we will visit North Rustico, a typical PEI lobster fishing village, home to many of our Acadian settlers. We will stop at The Bluff overlooking both Cavendish Beach and the final resting place of the Marco Polo shipwreck, a National Historic Site.
We will tour the heritage Green Gables House and grounds, view a short film on the life and works of Lucy Maud Montgomery, Prince Edward Island’s most famous author, and her Red-Haired Anne.
On our way home from Green Gables we will stop at the Prince Edward Island Preserve Company, renowned for its Island-made jams and preserves. Sample some of their wares and you may find a new favourite!
We will see many beautiful farms, rolling hills and spectacular seascapes. Have your camera ready!

After leaving Green Gables we will visit the house where Lucy Maud Montgomery was born and continue to Silverbush, the farm home she called the “wonder castle of my childhood” and where she was married. The home fronts on the Lake of Shining Waters.
Along the way we will stop for a light lunch.
There will be an opportunity to visit Sea Garden Gift Shop and Gallery which features Island crafted products and art.
On the return to Charlottetown we stop at the Prince Edward Island Preserve Company.
