If you are visiting the Island in the off-season we offer our Winter Tide tour.
This tour is especially beautiful in mid-winter when ice floes stretch to the horizon and the boats are snuggled under a blanket of snow.
We begin with a tour of Charlottetown including Province House, the Birthplace of Canada. We then drive to the National Park via Dalvay House and the lighthouse at Covehead Harbour.
Our National Park is home to many species of wildlife and we may see a red fox. In late winter or early spring seals can often be seen on the ice floes near the shore.
Next we visit the fishing village of North Rustico and see the lobster fishing boats on the land at their winter rest.
Entering the Cavendish section of the park we see the red cliffs and several spots mentioned in L.M. Montgomery’s book, “Anne of Green Gables”, including Green Gables Heritage House.
Returning to Charlottetown we finish up by driving through Victoria Park and the downtown core to the point of departure.
Tour length: 3 hours
